Southport Central School is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Maintenance
Technician

As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the
school building and all school grounds in a state of operational excellence. It is
expected that this work will require approximately 10-15 hours per week.

General Qualifications
Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to complete the
assigned work efficiently, as outlined in a job description
Must be able to operate, maintain, and adjust to various types of equipment as needed.
Must maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and the community
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
May be required to fill in for custodial personnel, as necessary
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two years or equivalent
experience in the maintenance/facilities field is desired

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

This position requires applicant to be flexible in their schedule, hold a valid
Maine driver’s license, obtain Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), and fit for duty employment physical.

The position is due to begin as soon as possible. Applications will be accepted through
